Here at Agora we have 3 service offerings and there is sometimes confusion around what links them all together. The offerings are:
- Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) - which includes Custom Software Development. Short description, helping customers choose, create and manage their software assets in the best possible way.
- Enterprise Project Management (EPM). Helping customers implement technology and process to make sure that they select and deliver project in the best possible way.
- Performance Management (PM). An outgrowth of both ALM and EPM, we help customers make better business decisions by identifying and tracking key performance indicators and metrics in the best possible way.
The common link here is the term “in the best possible way”. Whether the recent recession/depression/correction is over or just taking a small breather, every business and every organization needs to continually strive to do things in the best possible way. This often gets tagged as “Corporate Governance” and while in the world of public companies this comes with special connotation (and inherent risks for senior management), every sized organization, to be successful, has to do things well. Sometimes a strong economic climate can act as a mask for poor efficiency inside an organization. However, a recession or economic downturn quickly exposes those that are not optimizing their resources or their processes.
So we see “Governance” as something that is consistent across all businesses and the ones that get it right, no matter what their size, will be the ones that succeed in the long run.
