Well as 2008 draws to a close here are my top five (tongue in cheek) Business Intelligence predictions for 2009.
5. Since all the Canadian government can do is squabble over who is going to rule the country Canadians take things into their own hands and implement a real-time policy voting and measurement system.
4. There will be clarification around the term Business Intelligence since in 2008 people argued that businesses didn't seem to be too intelligent.
3. After a huge data integration effort the World's banks will know who is really holding all the capital - Santa Claus.
2. By December 2009 there will be no need to have the 2010 Winter Olympics as all the medal winners will have already been determined by ultra sophisticated prediction algorithms.
1. Facebook will know enough about my Friends that it will be able to do my Christmas shopping for me.
